Khori Gaon was demolished during the pandemic without any temporary shelter or provisions of alternate rehabilitation. On top of that, the state denied any responsibility for taking care of the medical crisis that impacted the residents.
Without any state support, the community members and activists banded together to organise medical check-ups and vaccination camps.
