Housing is just not access to a roof and bread

Post demolition, along with the struggle to provide a roof and food, residents are also faced with barriers to medical facilities, medicines and a place to heal. Geeta Devi’s story highlights these aspects.

We are a group of activists and academics working in the field of environment, housing and informality who came together to join Khori Gaon residents in their long fight for justice. This collaboration we have undertaken with the residents is called Saathi which means comrade in Hindi.
