The many lives of Khori Gaon: A photo-book

Team Saathi (National Alliance of People's Movements),

This photo-reportage tries to bring the humanitarian crisis unfolding at Khori Gaon since 2021, in front of the eyes of the larger society. It is often said that a picture speaks a thousand words. These photos hope to tell the various stories of Khori Gaon residents who continue to demand their right to a dignified life, freedom from exploitation by the MCF, peace and growth for their families and want their just claims to be acknowledged by the Supreme Court.

We are a group of activists and academics working in the field of environment, housing and informality who came together to join Khori Gaon residents in their long fight for justice. This collaboration we have undertaken with the residents is called Saathi which means comrade in Hindi.
